To celebrate the end of 2022, we are running a Medley Arena Tournament consisting of all the games available on PlayStrategy. That's right 30 games spanning around 7.5 hours. Much like the similar Birthday Medley in July, there will be a unique trophy up for grabs, but this time PST-Greedy-Tom will be there to play if other players are not around! The tournament starts at 13:00 UTC on Friday 30th December, but you will be able to come and go as you please.

In this tournament we will be trying out our new 'balanced' medley feature, which means that the time interval for each game is weighted so that on average you will get the same number of games within each time interval. Some games and variants take much longer to play and require more moves, so whilst previously you may have been able to play 5 Atomic Chess games in 10 minutes, you could only manage 2 or 3 Horde games in the same amount of time. This weighting may have to be adjusted in the future and we will keep an eye on how the balanced medley's are performing, as we are converting our weekly Medley Shields to use the new balancing feature (with immediate effect). Other news

As PS-Greedy-Two-Move has been a success (having a current record of 151-11-292 (w-d-l) within only a month) we have decided to release a few more bots. Say hello to PS-Greedy-One-Move and also PS-Greedy-Four-Move. PS-Greedy-One-Move can play all games on the site at a faster time control (1+1 upwards) whereas PS-Greedy-Four-Move will only play Oware and Draughts games at 3+2 and above. For other games you have the Stockfish engine!

In early 2023 we hope to release analysis boards for all games on the site. We are really exciting about this and hope you will use them to improve at the games. It's also fun to play around on them!
