Ever found yourself losing too many games of Othello? Well our new variant could be of interest, it's AntiOthello!

Unlike regular Othello, in AntiOthello, it's all about getting the worst score. The game has the same rules as Othello, and so still fits into Othello's strap-line "a minute to learn... a lifetime to master".

Visually the most distinctive difference is the blue board - no chance of getting confused between your Othello and AntiOthello games!

As for any new game on PlayStrategy we have an Introductory Tournament - your chance to win a one-off trophy for the new variant! This tournament will be held on Saturday 11th October at 12:00 UTC+0 for 1 hour. AntiOthello will join the rest of the PlayStrategy tournament schedule with the first shield on Saturday 18th October, and featuring in the next Othello Medley tournament on Sunday 26th October.

We've also got more new games in the pipeline before the end of 2025 as well as general site improvements and other new features, so keep your eyes peeled for those!
