Play against the PlayStrategy team at the UK Games Expo!

PlayStrategy will be at the 2026 UK Games Expo which takes place in Birmingham between Friday 29th May - Sunday 31st May. Similar to previous years, PlayStrategy will have a stand at the UKGE on all days, in conjunction with the Mind Sports Olympiad, where you can come and meet the team and play some games with us!

We will be hosting some in-person Simultaneous Exhibition events, as seen in the schedule below:

Friday 29th May 11:00 Azul with Aleksejs Pegusevs

Friday 29th May 15:00 Quoridor with Stephen Cairns

Saturday 30th May 15:00 Hive with Francesco Salerno (@Frasco)

Sunday 31st May 11:00 Chess with Etan Ilfeld (@knightleap)

Click through on the links to book your space to take part in the Simuls that interest you. Each Simul ticket costs £3.50 with a significant portion being donated to UKGE supported charities. Any player who can win a simul game during the event will receive free entry to that game at the MSO. For more information about the UK Games Expo, and to buy tickets for the general UKGE admission, please head over to the UKGE website.

The PlayStrategy/MSO stand is in Hall 1 of the NEC in Birmingham (Stand Code: 1-E). When we are not holding a Simul, we will be demoing many of the games seen on PlayStrategy, come over and say hi!

If you can't make the UKGE, remember you can still create your own online Simultaneous Exhibitions for all games on PlayStrategy here! We also have some online action for you to take part in, as we'll be hosting tournaments to coincide with our hours advertising the site on our stand. These are open to everyone whether you are at the UKGE or not, just join the UKGE PlayStrategy team. A summary of our tournament schedule is as follows (times shown are UK, UTC +1):

Each tournament is a Medley Arena, which will include periods of different games. On the Friday and Sunday we have 'Classics Medley Arena' tournaments. Meanwhile on the Saturday is a 'Chess Variants Arena' featuring 8 different variants on Chess.

We hope to see you either in Birmingham at the UKGE, or in these tournaments from the comfort of your home!
