Previously, Backgammon (and variant) players could choose between two options for forced moves:
- No automatic play of forced moves.
- Automatically play every forced part of a turn.
Many Backgammon platforms instead use a middle-ground approach, where moves are only played automatically when the entire turn is forced and there is no decision for the player to make.
We've received feedback from players requesting this behaviour, and we're pleased to say it has now been added. This option is also the default setting for new users.
Existing users can enable it by visiting: playstrategy.org/account/preferences/game-behavior
and locating "Play Forced Actions (e.g. backgammon no-play option)". Select "Full Forced Turn Only" to use the new functionality.
