In go, the wood grain always runs up/down the board, between the two players, not horizontally.

And, the very best Go board (and online, where all graphics cost the same, I'm sure you don't want to give us anything less than the best!) ... the best Go boards are made of a wood like kaya (see senseis.xmp.net/?MaterialGoban) which is more orangy-yellow than brown, and with a fine straight grain.
