Togyzqumalaq showing an inexisting ball

Hello dear administrators.

I am the organizer of Copa América Mancala Games tournament involving Awalé, Togyzqumalq and Bestemshe. This is our second season, we will have 12 tournaments all through the year. Today we held the first Togyzqumalaq tournament and I need please your support about this case.

It is about this game:

The player VinicioFortuny in the last move have in the screen of his phone 3 balls. 1 in the first pit and 2 in the second one. Whis this schema he will win the game. He sent me a video showing 3 balls and he traying to move the ball from pit 1 into 2, but whitout movement. He loose the game for time out waiting for the system to let him to make the move.

When I checked on the platform there are remaining just 2 balls on his side in the second pit. He was trying to move a non-existing ball.

I need to ask you please to help us solving why this happened? It is related to a bug on the platform?

Thank you so much.

Thanks for raising this issue we are sorry you have experienced this. Are you able to send the video to noreply@playstrategy.org as this will help with debugging. We will investigate the situation.
In the mean time it is important to mention that if users run into this issue again they should refresh the page, as if there is a bug, it's likely in the browser display, and resetting/refreshing the position will fix that.

After some investigate we believe this issue to be caused by a bad connection. We will be updating the code to help auto reload the page if we detect a similar situation. In the future if you notice a slow/bad connection and something wrong with the board state, then please reload the page, to ensure the game matches its correct state.

There are also some bugs (which can cause similar issues) due to having multiple tabs open. Please try to just use one tab for your game. We are looking to fix these as well, but advise users to use one tab until they are fixed.

Thanks again for raising the issue and helping to improve PlayStrategy!
