What Is The Worst Variant?

The worst variant is not determined by personal attitudes towards it.
I like this. I don't like that. This is good for the restaurant.
The worst variant is one where there is a forced win for one of the sides. In this regard, Mini Breakthrough has no competition.
Definitely the worst game on the site.

@Pokshtya, Technically, a lot of other games on PS have a forced win, but have simply not been solved yet. This does not really matter, as humans do not have to ability to remember the patterns required.

@Mando Really? Give me examples of those games?
Regarding the Mini Breakthrough, on a board of that size you don’t even need to remember all the winning patterns since everything is already obvious.

I don't have an example, as I said, these games have not yet been solved. For all we know, chess might have a forced win. Yes, mini breakthrough has an obvious one, because of the small board, but I'm just pointing out that having a forced win does not automatically make it bad.

@Mando
All good games with perfect information must, by their nature, be drawish. This indicates the balance of the game.
Chess is a balanced game, which means by its nature it is a drawish game.

I think Hyper is worse than Mini Breakthrough (no bias obviously)

Mini Breakthrough can be fun casually where no player knows forcing lines or if you want to try to play as accurately possible. Casually, there can be a lot of calculation and strategizing. On reaching computer level of play, positions where the move seems to be common sense, can easily be a losing move. A lot of memorization is involved, and I still lose games with black or not play accurately with white.

Hyper, on the other hand, is gambling deluxe with doubles.

Yah, hyper is a lot worse than mini breakthrough

You can look Magnus Carlsen - Hikaru Nakamura 0-1 Game there is no mistakes both players played the best moves but one of them won. You can see, no mistakes, no draw. For a draw, a mistake has to be made so that he cannot get the win but is forced into a draw just because of his mistake. Good day everyone.

I don't really enjoy Breakthrough for some reason. Maybe I need more exposure.
