A Chess Player’s Guide to Xiangqi

How to Play Chinese Chess

www.youtube.com/watch?v=vklqOLf6mtU

Very clear explanation. I’m a former chess player .
One day I decided to try this seemingly beautiful game called Xiangqi , and that was verry good decision :-).
But offcourse like every other sport, Chinese chess requires systematic training methods and persistent effort.

Here are the 10 ways that beginners can follow to improve their skills and become Chinese chess masters.:

Learn the theories

Study different games

Play

Do post-game analysis

Solve puzzles

Watch games

Seek advice from high-level players

Participate in competitions

Memorize opening patterns

Learn endgame theories

I haven't watched that particular video yet, (my skill is questionable, so I do best with a fresh start), but that channel is pretty great for finding your feet in Xiangqi. Knowing the rules is only a tiny fraction of knowing what you're doing, and they have many videos about openings, endgames, and many tactical concepts.
