Hi, I just wanted to comment that I've been having a good time playing games here. I appreciate that there is another place that focuses on real time abstract games when so many other sites only have correspondence games. The only site that I know of which has a large player base for real time abstract games is playok.com, which is nice to have but I prefer the lichess style interface used here.
Would anyone else be interested in seeing hex being added to the games available here? I'm not sure how hard it would be to implement the swap rule or what the best default board size would be, but as far as modern abstracts go hex seems to have a lot of history.
Enjoying the site
Thanks @ganelon !
Hex is on the long wishlist of games to add. Implementing hexagonal games will open up several abstracts, but isn't trivial, so its a little way down the priorties at the moment.
Personally I don't like playok as it's interface is glitchy ( during the GP - it glitched me and my brother out )
Apparently, there's a hexagonal LOA variant on BGA called alveole - I tried it and the board is very! confusing.
Would be interesting to get hexagonal games though
