Currently, there are not that many websites that support this. It would be nice if it were added, so I can play w/ accounts, ratings, time control, etc.

There is already a better alternative to any "Tic-Tac-Toe" variant which deserves to be revived, despite the harsh decline of popularity in the last century. That game is "Mills" or otherwise called "(Nine Men's) Morris".

As you might see in the Wikipedia article, "Nine Men's Morris" can be expanded to "Twelve Men's Morris". As well, there are some more original expanded board variants, which are covered within some game programs like in http://nine-mens-morris.net/index.html .

I believe "Nine Men's Morris" deserves to be a part of any tournament which covers classical board games.

I have seen the name Nine Men Morris before, its good to get a bit more context on it.
