New game suggestions: Draughts-80

There are few online platforms for playing draughts in 80-square formats, the standard being the “Soviet” Russian draughts of Nikolai Spantsiretti. Although he only invented it in 1930, it may have an otherwise-lost precedent in a rapid variant of old Dutch “Polish” draughts which removed the “unnecessary” rows for playing a game with 15 pieces. But these are only the beginning of what can be done with Draughts-80. The nations, so to speak, of world chess and backgammon should naturally participate in such a format, each in its own way:
For world chess, you may see the description at www.chess.com/clubs/forum/view/engineering-the-national-draughts-of-world-chess. On the other hand, world backgammon should use the 10x8 setup, but it should not be like any normal diagonal draughts variant: It belongs to the Spanish Draughts branch, but plays like it only has a 7x7 board and you only have to capture one piece each time you capture. But most importantly, you can have your pieces stacked on a square, which protects them from capture, and you have to roll a die for how far the king is allowed to go beyond the piece it is taking.
