Something we've been wanting to do from the moment we started adding new variants was to design and use new icons to make things more recognisable. Now we have the first phase complete, with new icons for all variants in:
- Draughts
- Shogi
- Xiangqi
- Redesigned icons for Three-Check, Five-Check and No Castling Chess.

Several of the Draughts icons will be familiar to players from lidraughts, but other icons are new designs. We'll have more new icons for other variants coming up in the next few weeks
