Request to Fix the Diagonal Orientation in Spanish Draughts

I hope this message finds you well. First of all, I would like to sincerely thank you for the continuous work and dedication you put into developing and maintaining PlayStrategy. The platform has become an important meeting place for board game enthusiasts, and the community truly values your efforts.

I am reaching out to report and highlight an issue concerning the Spanish Draughts (Damas Españolas) variant. At the moment, the diagonal orientation of the board appears to be implemented incorrectly. This creates confusion during games and prevents the rules of Spanish Draughts from being properly applied, which significantly affects the playing experience.

Spanish Draughts has a long tradition and a very large community of players, particularly across Latin America and Europe. Many players have already noticed and mentioned this problem. Fixing the diagonal orientation would not only solve a technical issue but also show great support and respect for this community.

From my perspective, properly implementing Spanish Draughts on PlayStrategy would bring multiple benefits:

Thanks for your message and interest in Spanish Draughts on PlayStrategy.

We are aware of the incorrect diagonal orientation of the board for Spanish Draughts. Unfortunately, correcting this isn't a quick and easy change, due to the technical setup for all Draughts variants on PlayStrategy. It is something we would like to address but we don't have a time-frame for when a solution will be implemented.
