I would like it if we could have tournaments every day, many people like me are struggling to find games here. Preferably standard chess as that is what the majority of people here play.

Sorry about that, we disabled the tournaments as were not getting many users on the site and most were empty.
We can look into reinstating them, were you mainly just interested in a daily chess tournament? which time controls?

Alternatively, as PSMaster says, you can create your own group and host a tournament there inviting players to play.
