In this game playstrategy.org/Q3IRb78t it is an obvious draw. The Alfil cannot cross the river to mate, stalemate is not possible either, and even if the alfil could cross the river, it could never access the palace. This is just a waste of time. Please get an insufficient Material Rule in Xiangqi, or just a 3-fold repetition.

In the end I just decided to resign, because this is such a waste of time...

Ok, I found this. When the opponent has 2 advisors remaining, it is possible to mate with either Cannon, Horse, or Chariot.

When the opponent has only 0 or 1 advisor remaining, you can only mate with the Chariot.

I didn't research for checkmates with more than 2 pieces, but that's at least it for 1 piece-checkmates.

Edit: you can also mate with a pawn when the opponent has 2 advisors left, I forgot about that lol :)

But I would say, implement a 50-move rule or threefold repetition without check or something similar. Because even if it is possible to win, it does not necessarily mean you can force a win. :) I can also try to see if I can research for 2-piece checkmates, or for what is possible when the opponent also has defending pieces to block the king.. :)

EDIT: I had noticed that some pieces are immobile on the Xiangqi analysis board.
