I am still waiting for administrative members to reply.
Xiangqi Medley Shield 8 Arena
Hi @benny1911988
We understand your concerns, and would like to clarify a few points about how our tournaments work.
Firstly, we won’t be changing the result of the tournament: playstrategy.org/tournament/h3q5ZXX0.
Arena tournaments on PlayStrategy are structured differently from traditional round-based tournaments. In an arena format, players can play an uneven number of games, may face repeat opponents, and may not encounter every player. This design can sometimes create situations like the one you experienced, where some players get paired more often than others. As others have noted, our tournament bot, PST-Greedy-Tom, joins games only when there are fewer than four active players, helping to keep things moving. Based on your observations, it seems the bot should have paired with you around the same time as the final game between oruro and Horstaut63. However, due to limited data tracking, we’re unable to verify the exact circumstances of why this did not happen in this case.
Rest assured, our pairing algorithm is impartial and does not take players’ geographic locations into account. For transparency, the source code for PlayStrategy is publicly available if you’d like to review the details yourself: playstrategy.org/source.
We understand the frustration of uneven pairings and the bots influence on tournament results. We'd love to reach a point where there are enough active players that the bot is no longer necessary! In the meantime, there are plenty of opportunities to recapture the Xiangqi Medley Shield, including next month’s tournament: playstrategy.org/tournament/EBD66Eyg. There’s also an exciting one-off Xiangqi Medley Marathon coming up this Friday: playstrategy.org/tournament/gp42iqdK!
Thank you for being a part of our community, and we hope to see you in the tournaments soon.
I don't agree with your explanation.
However, I have no choice, and I can only accept this judgement unwillingly.
I hope that the system will have great improvement later on to avoid another victims.
@benny1911988 i think it will be on 2025 year or 2026 year then will be more players
I need to play very very outstanding to avoid losing by ridiculous system and platform.
And nobody will care about this.
Very sad
I had initially decided to remain silent about this trivial matter and childish display, but your recent comment compels me to respond.
First of all, simply attempting to ask PlayStrategy to change the result is highly disrespectful, not just to me but to every single user of the site. You lost that tournament because you paused for an extended period. I played the entire tournament and witnessed your absence at the end of the second part of the Medley. This is entirely possible in the Arenas, and many of us have done it, expecting to return later.
Don't blame the site for your loss. This isn't a ridiculous system or platform. The site is improving every day, and we should simply thank them for all their hard work.
Many players have lost tournaments for similar reasons, and no one has made such a childish and silly spectacle. The only ridiculous thing here is you and your arrogant, pretentious, and disrespectful behavior.
Stop playing the victim and focus on the only thing you've proven to do well: Winning!

I feel shocked and disappointed about benny's accusations and words. Very disgraceful and uncilvilised manner.
*your attitude is arrogant, impolite and full of comparison (in this post and in medley), only want to win, making a unpleasant vibe here.
* you accuse discrimation of asia, it is ridiculous and make people a bad impression of hong kong and asia.
* if you want to win ,why not just play with beginners and primary students? You can also play other games, but probably you know you cannot win, right?
* if changing the result is ok, then it is again unfair to others players.
*Your behaviour is naive, bullying other players at a adverse way, pretend to be innocent and victim. You also create unfairness too.
* ridiculous is you, not the platform. Creating discrimation against is due to your behaviour after lossing. Be a champion, you should also have a broader mindset and more gentleman.
You have played medley arena for times, and you have also knew the bot has bugs. So take it easy. You want victory because you want to let people recognize you. Now all people recognize your skill.
And You should apologize to the admin and other players.
