Weekly Challenge 127: Go In Circles

Weekly Challenge 127: Go In Circles

Win a game of Go 9x9 vs @PS-Greedy-Two-Move by initially placing your stones around the edge of the board, starting a1, going clockwise, spiralling towards the center (hopping opponents stones if necessary), and then breaking off and playing anywhere to win the game. Most stones initially placed in this restrictive format wins, then score.

Adjudication Criteria:
1. Most stones played in the restrictive spiral format
2. Largest score difference
3. Fewest moves (plies) in overall game
4. Earliest Entry

Additional Clarification:
- Takebacks are not permitted
- Default Go settings must be used (0 Handicap, 5.5 Komi)

Closing Date: Monday 23rd September 1200 UTC+0

This week's challenge was suggested to us by @ronin3b. If you want to suggest a challenge please message @statmatt or @jheps and it will be considered!

Clarifications on challenge instructions:

- Continuing the spiral, rather than back-tracking to play in previously captured spaces, is a reasonable interpretation of the challenge. As you have all done this, it is one we will stick with.
- Whilst the challenge does specifically state you should start in a1, starting in any corner and applying the same spiral placement rules is the same challenge. Therefore we shall accept entries that start from a corner other than a1.

Which means all the entries I see on this thread are valid.
